KIDS FIRST! DADDYING FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES
CIRCLE OF FRIENDS SUPPORTING CALL FOR ENTRIES OUTREACH

CHEVY CHASE, MD – Thursday, April 21, 2022 – The KIDS FIRST! Daddying Film Festival (KFDFF) announced today the first Circle of Friends members who are helping encourage 1st grade through college undergraduate students to express themselves with creative short films/videos about the importance and impact of fathers/father figures in their lives. KFDFF’s inaugural Circle of Friends includes: National Healthy Start Association, Native Health Initiative, Strong Families Commission Inc., REEL Fathers, National At-Home Dad Network, ParentCamp, Armor Down, ThirdPath Institute, Parent Nation, Together For Brothers, Kids in the Spotlight, Teeniors, Working Classroom, Inspired Teaching, and musician Justin Roberts.
WHAT: To boost student KFDFF short-film submissions, DADvocacy Consulting Group's Daddy Appleseed Fund and
KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals are working with its youth/family-focused Circle of Friends to distribute information and resources via organizational newsletters, programming, email campaigns, and other member communications.
WHEN: Submissions due Saturday, May 7. The KFDFF runs June 13-20, 2022.

MORE INFO: KFDFF encourages kids to create and submit their 1- to 5-minute short films or videos for FREE with the
theme “A Letter to My Father/Father Figure.” Finalists receive a $250 award and will have their film/video screened during the virtual Festival the week leading up to and including Father’s Day 2022. KFDFF winners will receive a generous scholarship (amount TBD) and an “Atticus,” which symbolizes the iconic, single dad Atticus Finch from Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird.
