This revised and updated re-printing occurs at a time when limits and boundaries are being tested at an unprecedented rate, so much is in flux. The pace and intensity of social and technological change occasionally outpaces our capacity to adapt, the "new normal" doesn't feel "normal," and more and more seems beyond our control.
